An Important Message to Me from Me: What My Inner Creative Writing Self Wants Me To Know
Dear Margaret,
Do you remember when you wrote that Dear Universe letter on New Year’s Eve Day in 2020? You were in the mountains, waiting for that guy who Was Just Not That Into You to show up. And as you wrote about what you longed for and desired for the coming year, about love and intimacy, about partnership and what it would feel like to wake up to a perfect day … there was a vibration in you, access to truth and wisdom.
Do you remember how, with that letter you wrote, you kind of designed Kevin into your life?
I want you to always remember that because I, your Inner Creative Writing Self, am a very powerful part of you.
I help you sift through anger. I help you find your “ahas” and and solidify your learning. I help you write your way out of confusion and suffering and into the vibration of wisdom. I help regulate you back into easier breath.
And, when you call upon me, when you activate the magical part of your creative brain where I live, we speak the language of the Universe. I am part of your spiritual practice, my friend. I am part of Trust Everything. I help you get into the resonance of knowing what you want and what you want to say.
I work with you to know what your truth is.
I help sculpt words and sentences into art for you.
I am here for you. Every. Single. Day.
You should really use me more, my sweet, sweet friend.
So now, you want to write something else. You want to pick up the threads, to pick some of the produce from the giant and messy garden that was your live-in-a-drawer memoir, and you want to turn that bounty into beautiful food – into colorful salads and delightful fruity pies. Beautiful! And that means that you and I are going to have to find our rhythm together, find our relationship for this next project.
I am here for you. And also, you can’t get there without me.
So, you ask, how shall you call on me when you need me?
I am easier to find in the mornings. I come out to peek at the smell of coffee, because let’s face it, that’s when we’ve done some of our best work together.
You can call out to me with a little journal prompt or sometimes even with a beautiful white empty page.
Keep closing your eyes when you can’t see. Stand up and shake and turn on music and dance. Movement might help.
We’ve had an amazing run. It’s been potent and peaceful and productive. You have shown me you trust me and that you are open to receiving, so we have a lot to work with together.
What is that term of brilliance from the wise friends in your life? Oh, right: “LET ME LOVE YOU!”
Can you apply that to me, as well? Can you receive my beauty and my offerings? Can you let me love you?
I am your voice of unconditional love, I touch that part of your brain that is capable of making you feel that love … I am connected to it.
I love you enough to wait for you until you’re ready … I’m not going anywhere. I don’t even get mad at you when you ignore me … but you do hurt yourself when you don’t connect with me, Honeybee.
I need you to know I’m here. Always here.
With Deep Love, Your Inner Creative Writing Voice
